Exclusive: Robert Shwartzman will keep pushing after an unexpected Indy pole
If you were shocked by Indianapolis 500 rookie Robert Shwartzman’s pole run with fellow debutants Prema Racing, you shouldn’t feel too bad about it. Even the driver himself struggled to grasp what he’d done in the hours after he led the way in the Fast 6 to earn the right to lead the field to green in one of the world’s grandest races.
“I still can’t fully acknowledge the fact ...Keep reading

The complete starting grid for the 109th running of the Indianapolis 500
25-year-old rookie Robert Shwartzman shocked the IndyCar paddock when he put his No. 83 Prema Racing Chevrolet on pole for the Indianapolis 500 with a four-lap average of 232.790mph. Not only is this Shwartzman's first-ever oval race, it is also the first oval race for Prema, a well-established team in Europe that is competing in IndyCar for the first time this year.
Shwartzman will share the ...Keep reading

Rookie Robert Shwartzman earns shock Indy 500 pole with Prema Racing
At the start of the week at Indianapolis, Prema Racing was at the very bottom of the time sheets as they struggled to get the cars ready. But that seems like a different universe now as the rookie driver and rookie IndyCar team have done the unthinkable, earning pole position for the 109th running of the Indy 500 — their first oval race.
Robert Shwartzman, a 25-year-old from Israel, is the ...Keep reading

Penske won't have a shot at the Indy 500 pole after inspection issue
Team Penske had three shots at the Indianapolis 500 pole going into Sunday, but now they will have none. Scott McLaughlin crashed in morning practice, destroying his primary car in the process. But the issue for his two teammates is far more surprising.
Eyebrows began to raise as Josef Newgarden and Will Power had their No. 2 and No. 12 Penske Chevrolets pushed from the pit lane abruptly just ...Keep reading

Robert Shwartzman before Indy 500 qualifying: “Whatever happens, happens”
Six laps -- that was all Robert Shwartzman had on Day 1 of practice at Indianapolis Motor Speedway after his team, Prema Racing, struggled to prepare the cars for him and his teammate Callum Ilott.
It seemed that the rookie team and driver, who each had almost zero oval experience, would only see a continuation of the problems that had affected them throughout the first five races of the year ...Keep reading

Scott McLaughlin damages track and wall in heavy airborne Indy crash
Scott McLaughlin is now the third driver to go airborne in the last three days, destroying a blistering fast No. 3 Team Penske Chevrolet in the process. A dejected McLaughlin could hardly believe it as he climbed from the wreckage, thankfully unhurt. Why Graham Rahal leaves the Indy road course yearning for Ganassi Racing’s pace
He gave it everything he had.
Given strong chance to end his lengthy winless streak, Graham Rahal did nearly everything right. He decisively jumped from second into the race lead in the opening corners when the green flag flew, kept championship leader Alex Palou in the rear-view mirror for two full tire stints and led a race-high 48 laps.

Here are IndyCar’s Winners and Losers heading to the 2025 Indy 500
The Month of May arrived this weekend at Indianapolis Motor Speedway - at least on the road course.
In keeping with the trends of the season, that likely meant a couple things. First: Alex Palou continued to crush the NTT IndyCar Series field.
